Panama Real Estate Boom
BellavistaPanama 2.0

While dreaming the nightmare of been unconsciously checked into a social security hospital in Panama, I noticed it had been almost 3 months since I had made a payment for my private medical insurance.

To avoid such an issue I decided to take care of this today.  A month or so ago, the city decided to changed the orientations for certain street lanes in Bellavista, so I was diving preoccupied with my future route. As I arrive before my medical insurance provider I saw something that made me begin on of the first of many random/high pitched conversations that will probably get me interned.

There was a 15 story high building in pretty good shape, probably less than 20 years of construction being torn down. My alarmed squeal, was due to the fact that I hadn't seen a building of more than 7 or 8 stories high been demolished for a brand new one.  For the fist time I am wondering if my medical insurance covers a mental breakdown, if my own apartment building (10 stories, 22 years old) could be demolished, and if the only checkout person is supposed to be on the phone while there is a client waiting in line.

Parking in Panama
Panama's economy has grown thanks to the recent real estate market. This has increase the auto purchase potential of many locals and newcommers in town. Not even the global energy crisis and high fuel prices has put a stop to the unbearable traffic we get to drive in each week day. Now, our govenment provable greatly influenced by investors and developers believing in this country, have started working on the creating road ways above the Panama Bay right in front of Avenida Balboa in an ocean fill named Cinta Costera.

Soon vehicles will be able to enjoy various brand new lanes to get from point a to point be, but whe n your get to point be, where are you supposed to park your car.

The city has no available parking spaces for clients or employees in the downtown area.  Most people as I, would agree to pay for a parking space instead of being run down by security guards or being fined by the traffic police.

There is many land for sale in the city, closed out by there hideous advertising billboards. The mayor should stop issued this company advertising permits, and allow people who just want to get to work or just getting things done downtown to park for a fee or for free.

Old Condo vs New Condos

I dare you or anyone to find a street in downtown Panama city with at least one properties under construction, recently finished construction, or has plans to knock down a couple of buildings to start all over again.

It has to be a huge gamble to destroy arquitecture which is maybe not as modern or the very best design for an area, but still helped make certain areas like Cangrejo, Obarrio, Bellavista and Campo Alegre what they are today.
