Panama

There are parts of Panama that are slightly underdeveloped, and the visa process is very tough to get through, but these minor issues aside, there are a plethora of overwhelmingly positive reasons why one should make Panama a top travel destination. The following are a few unique highlights of Panama that are not so overly publicized. Panama has an enormous ecosystem as there are tropical rainforests, mountain ranges, beaches, and thousands of islands all of which comprise the country of Panama. In fact, Survivor has been filmed on islands in Panama numerous times making it the most popular location for Survivor currently. There are rainforest safaris offered for interested ecologists or just the naturally curious, and the mountain ranges provide plenty of rivers through them for adventure sports such as kayaking, rappelling, and whitewater rafting for the young and the young at heart. For reasons unexplained except a better maintained water filtration system, you can actually drink the tap water unlike in the rest of Mexico so you do not have to worry about checking a suitcase filled with bottled water this time around. If you have ever had what is termed as “Montezuma’s Revenge” from drinking the soiled water, you would know what a great luxury this is. Along the same lines of health, there are plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit always available from merchant booths that line the streets every day; thus, dispelling the myth that you cannot eat healthy while on vacation. Between rock climbing, swimming in the ocean, and fruit straight off the vine, it is hard to imagine what the struggle would be.
Retire and settle in Panama Oh yes, that’s right there is a struggle. Due to the fact that people from all countries across the world come to retire and settle in Panama it is an immigrant melting pot full of every practically every nationality on earth, and it has an extremely wide collection of restaurants to prove it. For the less adventurous, do not fret American fast food chains are also in Panama for that midnight big Mac craving. However, if you are trying to get an authentic taste of life in Panama you might want to make sure you frequent at least one of its native Indian restaurants during your stay. |
